If the cold weather is getting you down, why let it? If you’re an RVer, you can follow the sun wherever it goes. Head to Florida for warm weather and new adventures!

Florida has a lot to offer, but we’ve chosen the absolute essentials for any visitor.

1. Disney World

Disney World, depending on who you ask, is probably the premier attraction in Florida, especially if you’ve got children or Disney aficionados with you. The Walt Disney World Resort, delighting guests since the 70s, is an international destination for Disney fans across the globe. The resort offers many diversions for any age, including Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and others.

2. The Everglades

The Everglades, a coastal wetland national park that spans over 700 square miles, is certainly worth a visit, especially if you’re interested in the abundant wildlife that inhabits the park, which includes hundreds of species, notably the West Indian manatee, leatherback turtle, Florida panther, and, of course, alligators. The sawgrass prairie stretches for hundreds of miles in every direction, broken up by stands of mangrove trees and pines.

3. Kennedy Space Center

Want to learn more about space? Fascinated by NASA? You’re in luck! Florida is the best place to satiate your curiosity for all things space related. The Kennedy Space Center has a devoted visitor complex for anyone looking to learn more about NASA, space shuttles, astronauts, and whatever else may interest you about the space program.

4. Universal Orlando Studios

If you go to Disney World, Universal Orlando is in the same neighborhood. Or maybe you’d rather skip Disney World and go here instead. Whatever your reason, visiting Universal Orlando Studios is a great place to visit. The second largest theme park in Orlando after Disney World, Universal Orlando is a playground for movie buffs. The entire park and its rides are all inspired by Universal Studio films, including Harry Potter, Spiderman, Transformers, and many more.

5. Saint Augustine

The oldest European-founded city in the United States, Saint Augustine is steeped in colonial history. The major attraction in the town is the Castillo de San Marcos, which is an old Spanish fort that’s still largely intact. The town also plays host to an old town center with original colonial houses and cobbled streets, and there’s plentiful shopping opportunities throughout Saint Augustine.

6. Lazydays Tampa

No visit to Florida would be complete without a stop at Lazydays in Tampa. If you’re an RVer, or want to get into the RV lifestyle, Lazydays is a must-visit destination. As the largest RV dealer in the world, there’s no better place to get your next RV. And if you’re not on the market for an RV, the onsite RV resort is a world class experience designed specifically for RVers.
